Hon Fye has more than 35 years’ experience in senior management roles in both the public and private sectors. In 1981, he joined the Singapore Police Force. His portfolios included Director Technology MHA, Commander of Traffic Police and Tanglin Division. Hon Fye also planned the first-ever Singapore’s UN Peacekeeping operation in Namibia in 1989. He rose to the rank of Assistant Commissioner.

In 1998, he joined Singtel and his roles included CEO Telecom Equipment, VP Sales and Channels, Chief Marketing and Global Business. Hon Fye also spent 3 years in Thailand as the Executive Vice-Chairman of AIS, a Singtel JV. In 2010, Hon Fye joined NTUC Fairprice and was appointed GM of Hypermarkets and Fairprice Foundation where he supported the work of more than 200 social enterprises every year.

Hon Fye is passionately involved in volunteer and community service. He was the ex-CEO of Thye Hua Kwan Moral Charities. He also served many years as a volunteer in various Boards and Committees in the Ministry of Home Affairs. As an active grassroots leader, he chairs Cheng-San Seletar Community Development Welfare Fund. He was awarded the Pingat Bakti Masyarakat (Public Service Medal) in 2015 and was appointed Justice of the Peace (JP) by President in 2018.

Hon Fye graduated with a First from Oxford University in 1984 on a President cum Singapore Police Force Overseas Scholarship. In 1993, he graduated with a Masters in Management from Stanford University.
