A former President and Past Chairman of the Singapore Institute of Directors who has been closely involved with the Institute since its formation in 1998.
He has more than 50 years of senior management and board experience in ASEAN as well as in Australia and New Zealand.

Past management and board appointments include:
CEO of Cold Storage Holdings Ltd, Executive Deputy Chairman of LMA International Ltd, Group Managing Director of JC-MPH Ltd and Group Managing Director of Pan United Corporation.
Chairman of Senoko Power, Chairman of Gas Supply Pte Ltd, Chairman of Building Construction Authority, Deputy Chairman of Agri-Foods and Veterinary Authority, Deputy Chairman of FairPrice Supermarkets, Deputy Chairman of Singapore Institute of Management, Deputy Chairman of Temasek Polytechnic and a member of The Securities Industry Council.

He has been actively involved in the development and promotion of Corporate Governance in Singapore and ASEAN for more than 20 years and has been Chairman of the OECD Asian Network on Corporate Governance forState Owned Enterprises and a core member of the OECD Asian roundtable on Corporate Governance. He has been a member of the Singapore Companies Act Review Committee, Singapore Corporate Governance Council, Audit Committee Guidance Committee and Disclosure and Accounting Standards Committee.

He is currently Chairman or Director of 3 Singapore listed Companies and 5 private companies as well as being an advisor to a European PE Fund. He is also a Vice President of the Global Compact Network Singapore.
